- Superlative degree -S
S– Ram is the best boy.
C-Ram is better than any other boy.
P-No other boy is as good as Ram.
Concept – A–Ram, B–Boy
Superlative- A THE + SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVE B
Comparative- A COMPARATIVE ADJECTIVE +THAN + ANY OTHER /MANY OTHER +B
Positive- NO OTHER /VERY FEW B AS ADJECTIVE AS A
1.S-Mahatama Gandhi was the greatest leader of India.
C-Mahatama Gandhi was better than any other leaders of India
P-Very few leaders as good as Mahatama Gandhi.
2.S-Ranchi is the best city in Jharkhand.
C-Ranchi is better than any other city in Jharkhand.
P-No other city is as good as Ranchi in Jharkhand.
3.P-Few countries are as great as India
C-India is greater than any other country.
S-India is one of the greatest countries.
From positive to a comparative degree.
P-He is not as good as Ram.
C- Ram is better than he.
P-This book is not as good as that.
C-That book is better than this.
P- You are as tall as I.
C-I am not taller than you.
P-You are intelligent as Sima.
C-Sima is not more intelligent than you.
From positive to superlative degree
P-No other boy is as good as Hemant.
S-Hemant is the best boy.
P-No other man is as tall as Pankaj
S-Pankaj is the tallest man .
P-Very few flowers are as beautiful as Rose.
S-Rose is one of the most beautiful flowers
P-Very few Indian rulers were as great as Ashoka.
S-Ashoka was one of the greatest of Indian rulers

S-This pen is the best pen.
C-This book is more useful than any other in the market.
S-This book is the most useful book in the market.
C-Iron is more useful than most other metals.
S-Iron is one of the most useful metals.
