Principal of protection from X-ray
/ unwanted exposure
There are three ways by which the exposure can be reduced to the desired level
1. Reducing the duration of exposure time ( short exposure time)- this is achieved by quickly completing the work or sharing the work with more people (Radiographer)
2.The Increasing distance between source and area under consideration – I ∝1/d2
( I- Intesity, d – distance )
EX-यदि Patient और source of X-Ray का distance ( दूरी) 1 metre हो तो Radiographer, X-ray का Expose , 2 metre distance( दूरी )से करेगा ,or
यदि 1/2 metre हो तो 1 metre distance ( दूरी) से X-ray का expose करेगा , हमेशा I ∝1/d2 का पालन करना चाहिए
3 . Providing shielding material – lead, the thickness of the wall, lead glass, lead apron, etc maintained.
